Some extracts from the Taylor website write-up on the current 514ce model, with my adjustments for some detailing alterations in the model spec. over the last nearly 20 years, since this guitar was made.....

Cedar’s warm midrange overtones and quick response make it a coveted top wood among fingerstylists and other players with a lighter touch. On this mahogany/cedar cutaway Grand Auditorium....Mahogany’s naturally dry, focused voice emphasizes the midrange, lending a warm, clear punch that strummers, blues players will especially appreciate. Appointments include faux tortoise shell binding and pickguard....MOP inlayed soundhole rings, and diamond fingerboard position markers.... With onboard Fishman Prefix electronics....the guitar also features a Venetian cutaway for upper-fretboard access, and a deluxe hardshell case.

Current New RRP - £2,599.

**** YOUTUBE ****
------------------------------------------------------------

There are various demo clips of the Taylor 514ce, but majority are recent production models, featuring detailing differences, but particularly Taylor's own Expression System electronics, rather than the Fishman Prefix onboard the 1999 Model, so what a surprise to find not one, but two YouTube demo clips of the same 1999 version as this one....with thanks to AcousticFellowshipTV for their 2014 recording, as embedded here & entitled.....
"Taylor 514ce 1999 Mahogany & Cedar, Niek for The Fellowship of Acoustics"....and to Richard Watson for his 2015 clip on Link #1 below. Link #2 to the current Taylor Guitars page on the 514ce, with those current spec. variations.
