VTG LIVE & READY TO GO! - New Listing! - 29/06/2018.
____________________________________________________________

I have sold many Yamaha 12-strings over the years, especially the open-headstock FG-312s, FG-412SBs & FG-512s from the 1977 to 1981 period, and also the same style, but earlier FG-230s & FG-260s, which invariably sound great and, if correctly set-up, I believe to be the best value in relation to performance of virtually any 12-string guitar.

This is a more recent model.....Yamaha Taiwan-made serial numbers run in 10 year cycles, rotating the first digit as the year in the decade.....this one starting with a 9 is certainly 1989, as the model's production period appears to run from around 1989 to 1992, and still offering excellent 12-string performance, and with the potential to plug-in, with fitted under-saddle pickup (not tested).
Description
Stock Number: VTGC1050.

Selling on commission for a customer.

The FG-410-12A is typical of the quality Yamaha output of good, workmanlike guitars, offering excellent combination of sound build, fine playability, and strong performance, sound and tone.

Yamaha's signature body shape....neither dreadnought nor Jumbo, with traditional combination of Spruce top, Mahogany back & sides, Black-edged multi-binding to the top, single to the rear, matching soundhole rings, Rosewood fingerboard, with small dot inlays, Ebonised bridge, with matching set of cream pins, Yamaha trademark shape black scratchplate, and emblemed headstock. Front strap button added to neck heal with Endpin rear combined jack socket & strap button, serving unidentified under-saddle pickup, which has positive output to amp., but otherwise has not been tested.
Condition
Very good condition, with only minor nick & wear from normal usage....really minimal for a near 30 year-old guitar. Play wear to frets and fingerboard is also minimal. Both ranges of uniformly grouped but actually individual tuning machines, rather than 6-on-a-plate machines, remain in bright condition and work fine.
Action, strings & cases
Good 12th. fret action - 2.25mm. to 3mm., excellent for a 12-string, with guitar tuned to D in standard tuning, as many 12-string players do, using a 2nd. fret capo if the guitar is required to be in E.

Existing well-used strings fitted are probably X-Light 10 Gauge, but not yet checked.

There is no Case is included....but the guitar will be delivered in the "The Original Gig-Bag Company" bag it has been housed in...bag in good looking condition, but the zip fastener is broken, so cannot be used to safely carry the guitar.....unless yo can fix the zipper of course, in which case you would have a good gig-bag.
