Intro
Many Guitars are available for "Pre-Order" or "Reservation" while I complete the Restoration Works.

I am now finding that I regularly "pre-sell" most of my restoration guitars, either before commencing work or at the stage where I am still working on them.

This arrangement has now worked well in so many cases that quite a few of the guitars coming through the workshop are now listed & described here, in advance of them being fully ready, but certainly not all of them, so if not hooked on any you see at the moment, I welcome further enquiries, and may have something else to interest you!
Description
Some of these "Depression Era" & earlier guitars, which are always interesting....the old saying about 1930s USA guitars production, in Chicago & other centres...."Many makers, large & small, all making similar guitars, using similar materials & often the same parts, sometimes making guitars for each other, all making guitars for numerous distributors, usually using distributors own brand names....and nobody was taking notes!"

List of some, not necessarily all, of the models in this category which I have sold or are in stock:

Archtop:

Kay made Carl Fischer brand 1930s, Gibson L-4 1942 (Photo #2), Kay made Playtime late '30s, Kay K1 1955 Cutaway Jumbo, Kay K1/K8091 1959 Kay made Marveltone Round Hole c. 1940 (Photo #5)

Flattop:

Collegiate P'MICO, Argyle pattern (Photo #11)

Collegiate P'MICO Laurel pattern (Photo #1 & YouTube clip of exact same model guitar, not embedded below, as although playing is good, I really can't get on with the chatter....but for completeness, if you want to try it, it is here....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1XIKgQpdKQ)

Columbus Lyon & Healy parlor 1920s (Photo #3)....plus embedded below is YouTube clip entitled "Country Blues Picking in E.. on Lyon and Healy Columbus" by fbreen62....also check out further clip from the essential James Ralston, Roadtoast Guitars....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN7KmdSJtsc....entitled "1920's Lyon & Healy Parlor Guitar. Restored."

Oahu Style No. 51K 1930s (Photo #10)...plus numerous YouTube clips of '30s Oahu guitars, both round/V-neck, and square-neck (and also some square-necks converted to round!), including about 3 excelent ones by James Ralston...but nothing resembling the artwork on this model!

Tenor guitar:

Lyon & Healy/Regal pear-shape body....think this YouTube video by the splendid Jake Wildwood "Country Guitar Doctor", might well be one & the same thing!....you can read more about it here....https://jakewildwood.blogspot.com/2019/11/1920s-lyon-healy-style-5265-baritone.html....I will catch up with it myself, when I get to doing something with this instrument!

Kay 661 Silvertone 1966/68 (Photo #8)....plus this is the same model in the hands again of Jake Wildwood on Youtube, both acoustically & plugged-in....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGagKR7Azug....title "1960s Kay-made Silvertone 000-size electrified tenor guitar"

Square-Neck, Lap style:

Bronson 1930s

Qahu 1930s
